Fanart for Twist and Shout. Without the spelling mistake this time.
Vector, inspired loosely by vinyl covers. Started ages ago and nearly abandoned; finished tonight to take my mind off the serious sh*t going down in RL at the moment.
Mash-up of Castiel and The Lament for Icarus, sized as an iPad background.
Design inspired by this gorgeous piece.
O’er the Plains - A Castiel Fanmix (cover art only
youtube preview links below, sorry for nothing more technical)
Wayfaring Strange (Burial Mix) - Jamie Woon
My Family’s Role in the World Revolution - Beirut
This Bright Flash - M83
Storm (Summer III Presto) - Vanessa Mae
Bloodstone (King Cannibal Mix) - Amon Tobin
Mostly instrumental. Possibly not everyone’s cup of tea. Mostly the music that makes me think of Cas’ awesome, powerful, otherworldly, wings-and-swords-wrath-smiting-mcsmiterson self, hidden though it may be behind Jimmy’s adorably tousled self.
Details from paintings by John Martin, William Turner and Francis Danby.
Because I have mock law school exams coming up
I downloaded Stonehenge Apocalypse.
It’s everything I ever wanted it to be.
Except - why the fuck did Misha do an Irish accent in the middle of Solsbury Plain? That apparently has cockney soldiers running around on it.
Stonehenge is about a two hour drive from my house. It is, to be polite, not an exciting part of the west country. Do something else with your time in our glorious country.
Lawyering is accelerating.
Visited the UK Supreme Court, visiting a County Court on Monday and shadowing a judge, negotiation workshop, and Citizens Advice Bureau induction all in one week, on top of normal law coursework.

The Supreme Court visit was excellent; watched two very surprising judgements handed down, by Law Lords I’d been reading about in textbooks. Unfortunately, while watching a case in Court 2, I received a text from Lord F telling me about how he got escorted back to the hostel in Basel by the police, for being drunk, covered in vomit, and trying to walk into walls. He was apparently found starfished, in his underwear, in the foyer the next morning.

Additionally, I shot two naked calendars for charity this week for my university. One was all sports teams, the other for UCL Rugby. They made a promo for the former which can be seen on youtube, and the Rugby one allowed me to take a photograph for the Qwertee Free T-shirt competition, which is simply send in an amusing photo of yourself wearing a qwertee t-shirt. I was wearing the Winchester’s Crest t-shirt.

Rugby, for any American readers, is a bit like American football but with more bitching about the weather and significantly more emphasis on shorts.
I’m not sure what’s happening in Misha Minion-dom, but I never need an excuse to trumpet support for the Overlord. Hell yes we appreciate you, Misha, a glorious beastly piece of human triumph.
